I'd say I'm 60% Business, 20% Artist, 10% Athlete, and the other 10% is just a goof. If your reading this, good on you for doing your due diligence and making sure I'm no weirdo. In that time I've learned 2 things; No matter what they say, people love photos of themselves, and I enjoy capturing them as an art.
Why Photography?
I am a Wedding and Family Photographer working in Sacramento California and neighboring areas. My wife Christen and I have been married for ten+ years, and are the parents of three wonderful children. My Family is the most important thing in the world to me, and the inspiration behind my photo journey.
I started as a photographer snapping shots for my wife's IG page. Yes, I was an instagram husband (and really good at it too). In 2020 when I started working from home, I found I had a lot more time to pursue my hobbies. So I took on a few photography jobs just for the fun of it, and realized I was onto something special. Somewhere between having fun with my wife doing something we both enjoyed and falling in love with a new creative outlet Phillip Towles Photography LLC was born.
My business has come a long way in a short period of time, and I am overjoyed to have discovered a passion which also enables me to support my family. I've had the pleasure of working with families, churches, government agencies, businesses, and non-profit organizations. Though I have enjoyed all of my experiences as a photographer, it's the Weddings which stand out as a personal favorite. These are the days when most everyone is in a good mood, the smiles are abundant, and the best of who we as people is on full display.
These are the most fulfilling and rewarding days for me as an artist.
